Our Services

  • Sports rehabilitation is a multi-disciplinary approach to treat injuries sustained through sports participation so the athlete can regain normal pain-free mobility. The primary goal is to return to pre-injury activities.

  • Functional dry needling (FDN) is a therapeutic treatment procedure that utilizes thin, solid filament needles to deactivate and desensitize trigger points in muscles. Myofascial trigger points are knots in muscles that can contribute to pain, decreased flexibility and decreased muscle function.

  • A movement screen, sometimes called a Functional Movement Screen (FMS), is a way to analyze movement patterns and observe mobility and stability deficits.

  • Post-surgery rehabilitation is a specially designed program to re-establish muscle strength and joint function, prevent respiratory and vascular complications, increase mobility, and give the patient confidence to live a full life again.

  • Blood Flow Restriction Training is an exercise and rehabilitation modality whereby resistance exercise, aerobic exercise or physical therapy movements are performed whilst an Occlusion Cuff is applied to proximal aspect of the muscle on either the arms or legs. In this novel training method developed in Japan by Dr. Yoshiaki Sato in 1966, limb (legs or arms) venous blood flow is restricted via the occlusion cuff throughout the contraction cycle and rest period. This results is partial restriction of arterial inflow to muscle, but, most significantly restricts venous outflow from the muscle. Given the light-load nature and strengthening capacity of BFR training, it can provide an effective clinical rehabilitation stimulus without the high levels of joint stress and cardiovascular risk associated with heavy-load training.

  • Myofascial release is an alternative medicine therapy and is useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.

  • Gait analysis matches the runner's degree of pronation with the correct shoe type. The aim is to counterbalance the overpronation or underpronation to help to reduce the risk of injury and improve running efficiency.

  • Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts (sometimes heated) cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

  • Manual therapy, or manipulative therapy, is a physical treatment primarily used by physical therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists to treat musculoskeletal pain and disability; it mostly includes kneading and manipulation of muscles, joint mobilization and joint manipulation.

  • Electrical muscle stimulation, also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation or electromyostimulation, is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electric impulses.

  • Elastic therapeutic tape, also called kinesiology tape or kinesiology therapeutic tape, Kinesio tape, k-tape, or KT is an elastic cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive that is purported to ease pain and disability from athletic injuries and a variety of other physical disorders.

  • Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized area of rehabilitation focused on addressing disorders and dysfunctions related to the pelvic floor muscles and associated structures. These muscles support the pelvic organs, including the bladder, uterus, and rectum, and play a crucial role in urinary, bowel, and sexual function. Pelvic floor physical therapists use tailored exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and education to treat conditions such as pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and postpartum recovery. The goal is to improve muscle function, alleviate symptoms, and enhance quality of life for patients of all ages.

Recovery Systems

Evolve Doctors of Physical Therapy utilize Hyperice recovery systems, including Normatec dynamic air compression for full body, Venom heat and recovery systems, and other muscle recovery devices. Our specialists also use Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) devices for muscle hypertrophy and strength, reduced joint stress, muscle activation, pain recovery, and more. Click below to learn more.
